Poise and Relaxation Training
Poise Is An Art

How It Works
We analyze a client’s individual response patterns, teach simple exercises and principles to counter excess tension, and then apply these techniques to real world situations. We create custom programs that employ these ideas in everyday activities as a “poise gym” that helps build client’s skills to the point where they can be applied in high-performance scenarios. This often involves simple movements such as sitting, standing, and walking progressing to more complex movements and scenarios. We also offer restorative exercises and methods that help to build client’s resilience and physical relaxation.
For some clients, they can also benefit from a complimentary Alexander Technique Bodywork component, which teaches them to sense and release tension they may be unaware of with the help of an instructor’s hands. Over time, the body adjusts its baseline tension to no longer include this tension, and as the student gains awareness, they are able to release the tension for themselves at will.
Depending on what a client is looking for, we might be able to "hack" a single activity or application in a single session. To build lasting skill, we offer packages of sessions that give you full ownership over your growth. After an initial consultation, a series of four sessions minimum is suggested.

"I have a greater sense of ease now and am more connected to my breath. And a surprising bonus--those knots in my shoulder blades have disappeared! I can't recommend working with Jeremy highly enough"
